Has anybody else been watching this season's American Idol as faithfully as I have? As you are all well aware, I am hopelessly obsessed with the show! And even though I'm on the other side of the globe, that can't prevent me from watching it.
So, was anybody else as excited as I was that Sanjaya finally got the boot?! I've been hoping every week that he would get kicked off. Simon finally told it like it was, and the people finally agreed with him. All I can say is, it's about time! I think he took advantage of his hair a bit too much. His voice certainly didn't get him that far.
So who are your favourites this year? I think Melinda is adorable, and she definitely has the best voice! I also really like Blake ever since Hollywood week and his beatboxing, which I think is awesome. He's a great performer. And, for my top three, Jordin would be my other favourite. She's just so cute and has an amazing voice.
I'm glad Sanjaya is finally out of the running! Who do you think will win this year?

I must admit that I am a hopeless Idol addict as well! although lately working has really gotten in the way of my reality TV watching :( I like Blake and Jordin as well...melinda I am not so keen on. I'm glad you can stay on top of these things even being so far away! Miss you guys.

I liked Sanjaya AND his sister from the very beginning. They seem like they come from such a close family. Even though Sanjaya had less talent, he reminded me of Prince and Michael Jackson. American Idol isn't just a singing contest. Gray hair, a harmonica, and awkward dancing can make you win.
I always liked Blake and Melinda. Simon is right, Blake is a popstar. I was surprised he was in the bottom three last week. I can't tell who is going to win, although it seems Melinda always has the most votes so far.
I prefer the first few (funny) shows and the last few shows (last 4-5 contestants) much better than all these in-between shows. I always have to switch the station to O'Reilly because the song choices just don't keep my interest.
I heard some of the money from the American Idol charity next week will be going to pro-abortion organizations.
I think that Melinda has a really good chance of winning. She can sing anything, and she is so humble about it. Of course, I love Blake so I have to say that he has a chance as well.
Yes, there was much celebrating going on in our house when we heard that Sanjaya was gone, though I almost felt bad for him when he started crying.

Carol, yeah I did like Taylor, but he could at least sing. And I still think Chris should have won last year.
Yeah, I was also very surprised that Blake was in the bottom three. I loved it when Melinda just sat in the middle of the stage this week! She's great!
I did like Sanjaya and his sister at first. But once the real competition started, he just wasn't even in the same league at all. And the fact that he kept going through each round (and got cockier every week) made me not like him.

ok so I'm a little late in the game... but I also LOVE Melinda.. even if she doesn't win she is going to become so famous.. look at Chris Daughtry.. I see more of him than I do of Taylor Hicks.
I am not really that keen on Blake.. I liked him at first and I know that he will go a long way but I have been finding that every week he sounds the same!
Jordin is cute and definately a fantastic singer.. she's used to a little bit of limelight.. she's like Melinda she'll make it without winning...
